Dr Hanley Chew is a seasoned hospitality leader, entrepreneur, author, and educator with more than three decades of international experience. He has held senior leadership roles as CEO of Sunway International Hotels & Resorts, Destination Resorts & Hotels (Khazanah Nasional’s leisure arm), Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, and Vinpearl Hotels Vietnam, overseeing major hotel portfolios across multiple countries.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Taylor’s University and provides strategic advisory services to hotel owners and developers.
Hanley is also the award-winning author of the Hotel Tales book series and an active newspaper contributor on hospitality and tourism matters. His expertise covers hotel management, development, leadership, asset strategy, and hospitality innovation.
