David Fogarty
CEO and Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS)
David serves as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the United Nations Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) — the local network of the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, with over 25,000 members across 167 countries globally.
In this role, David leads one of Singapore’s and ASEAN’s most influential platforms for sustainable business, mobilising companies to align with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and translating the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals into real business practice.
David builds bridges between the private sector and government, between global ambition and local action, and between corporate strategy and human impact. Working alongside ministries, civil society, and businesses of all sizes, he creates the conditions for meaningful collaboration across sectors — convening leaders who don't always sit at the same table, and holding space for dialogue, accountability, and change.
Before this role, David held senior leadership positions at CBRE, including Head of Sustainability & ESG Consulting for APAC, Senior Executive Managing Director of Property Management in the UK, Managing Director of Asset Services for Singapore and Southeast Asia, and Regional Director of Asset Services for the Pacific, Austalia and New Zealand — leading the sustainability business in each capacity.
A passionate advocate for environments where people and communities thrive, David integrates technology, sustainability, and human engagement to shape the future of business and society.
David holds an MBA from Southern Cross University and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), serving on the RICS Global Standards & Regulation Board. He is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) and the Institute of Sustainability Environmental Professionals (IESP), where he holds the designation of Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP).
He is certified as an Environmental Impact Assessment Manager (CEIA), a Certified Carbon Management Leader (CCML), Certified Sustainability Development Manager ( CSDM) and hold an ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance).
David is an active board member for a number of organisations and sought-after keynote speaker, moderator, and panel expert across sustainability and leadership forums.
